About Dinosizer
Dinosizer lets you pick dinosaurs, modern animals, and people, and see them lined up at true relative scale. It's built by a 5-year-old and his dad to be useful, accurate, and fun.
How sizes are measured
- Length is nose to tail tip in a neutral side profile.
- Height is the tallest point of the animal in its natural standing or walking pose.
- Weight is a typical adult, not a record specimen.
- Note: For pterosaurs, the "length" is the creature's wingspan.
Where the numbers come from
Every creature on the stage has a "View source" link. Tap a creature, then tap the source link to open the citation in a new tab and check the number yourself. We use conservative consensus values. If you find a better source for any number, tell us — we'll update it.
